The pandemic left us all a little more sensitive to the things around us. In the past, extreme sanitization and dissecting had their place with a fringe group in society; however, this sensitivity has now gone mainstream.

The cleanliness of the air that we breathe and the surfaces that we touch matter more now and will continue to matter in the near future. Pre-pandemic, the issues of obtaining clean water was already a big deal and a growing industry and now all of that care and concern is being accelerated by a new collective mindset. UV lights, the use of ozone, filters and more are being introduced into existing systems and consumer products at a record rate.

The methods and technologies are proven and reliable, so what now matters is how they are packaged, messaged and applied in an innovative and brand appropriate way. Legacy brands will extend into new spaces and ingredients and some new brands will emerge.

Some of these legacy brands will be ones that we already trust. From goods delivered, to the means of transport, to sanitizing and disinfecting after every use, our expectations and behaviors are shifting. We expect that some brands that already occupy these markets will evolve and provide greater reassurances - via process, methods, sub-branding, messaging and more. Ultra clean air will serve two purposes in that it will make you feel refreshed and alert and at the same time it will kill germs and other unwanted guests. The objects and surfaces that it interacts with will also be disinfected.
